Oluwatoyin Mary Yerokun hails from Owo, in Owo Local Government Area of Ondo State. She attended St. John/Mary’s Demonstration Primary School and Adeyeri Iyere Comprehensive High School, Owo. She obtained National Diploma and Higher National Diploma in Computer Science from The Federal Polytechnic, Offa, Kwara State. She also obtained Bachelor of Science Education in Computer Science Education from Enugu State University of Science and Technology, Enugu. Oluwatoyin proceeded to Nnamdi Azikwe University Awka, Anambra state, for Post Graduate Diploma, Master’s and Doctor of Philosophy degrees in Computer Science (Artificial Intelligence)
Oluwatoyin has taught various aspects of Computer Science, including Hardware Maintenance, Software Engineering, Remote Sensing, Computer Security, Database, Management Information System, Artificial Intelligence and Mobile & Computer Forensics.
As at today, Oluwatoyin has forty four publications to her credit published in local and international journals in the areas of Computer Science and Computer Education. Also she has presented papers in conferences, seminars and workshops both in Nigeria and outside Nigeria. All her publications are available on Academia, Google Scholar, Researchgate and ORCID platforms. Oluwatoyin is a tenacious scholar, ardent researcher and a team player whose research collaboration has extended beyond the domiciled College.
Dr. Oluwatoyin Mary Yerokun has served as Academic/level adviser to students at various levels and supervised many undergraduate students at NCE and degree levels.
She is a Chief Lecturer, member of several Committees and the Academic Board of FCE(T) Asaba. She is presently the Director of ICT/MIS unit of the College.
Her commitment to the advancement of education earned her the Fellowship of Institute of Policy Management Development (FIPMD) in Nigeria. She is a member of Nigeria Computer Society (NCS), International Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing, (ISPRS) Germany, Chattered Information Technology Practitioner, Computer Professionals (Registration Council) of Nigeria (CPN/CITP) and Member, Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN), Member, Board of Trustees, FEDPOFFA CSC 1997 DAP.
Oluwatoyin has won several awards and laurels including Meritorious Service Awards and Award of Excellence.
